How to Apply
The CIP credential was developed to promote ethical research practices and programs by ensuring that professionals charged with IRB administration have demonstrated an advanced level of knowledge, understanding, and experience. Since the credential was launched in 1999, more than 3,000 IRB professionals have earned the CIP, and IRB positions increasingly call for candidates who possess the credential.
The Felix Gyi Memorial CIP Scholarships are available to IRB professionals who:
- Meet the criteria for sitting for the CIP exam and/or applying for recertification of the CIP credential and who are approved for the exam and recertification by the Council for Certification of IRB Professionals;
- Demonstrate a need for financial assistance to cover the exam and/or recertification fees, as explained in the scholarship application materials; and
- Complete the scholarship application, submitting it to PRIM&R according to the application guidelines.
